Asbestos Coated Metal Hose Assembly

Asbestos Covered Metal Hose Assembly is an industrial-grade flexible piping solution designed for extreme high/low temperature and high-pressure working conditions.

It features a three-layer composite structure: stainless steel corrugated inner tube, steel wire braided reinforcement layer, and high-density asbestos outer covering.

With a working temperature range of -145℃ ~ +450℃, it can withstand industrial fluid transmission pressures from 0.6MPa to 32MPa for long-term use.

The asbestos outer layer provides excellent heat insulation, fire resistance, and anti-scald protection, effectively isolating high-temperature radiation and open flame splashes.

The inner tube is available in 304/316L stainless steel, compatible with water, air, steam, industrial fluids, and various other media.

Full size coverage from DN6 to DN125, with customizable length, connection type, and pressure rating as required.

Widely used in metallurgy, power plants, chemical industry, intermediate frequency furnaces, boiler supporting, and other high-temperature and high-risk scenarios.

1. Product Overview

 

The Asbestos Covered Metal Hose Assembly is a dedicated flexible piping solution developed for extreme working conditions in metallurgy, power, chemical, and other industries. Built on a stainless steel metal hose, it is wrapped with a high-density asbestos insulation layer, forming a three-layer protection structure: “inner pressure resistance, middle reinforcement, and outer heat insulation”. This perfectly solves the pain points of traditional metal hoses in high-temperature, open flame, and thermal radiation environments, such as easy aging, scalding, and damage, while retaining the excellent flexible compensation, vibration and noise reduction, and displacement correction performance of metal hoses. It is an ideal choice for fluid transmission and pipeline compensation in high-temperature and high-risk working conditions.

 

2. Structure & Core Materials

 

  • Inner Layer: Stainless Steel Corrugated Tube

     

    Made of 304/316L stainless steel with precision hydraulic corrugation molding, it offers good flexibility and small bending radius. It can effectively absorb axial, lateral, and angular displacements of pipelines, buffer equipment vibration and noise, and has high fatigue resistance, remaining undeformed and unbroken after repeated bending.

  • Middle Layer: Stainless Steel Wire Braided Reinforcement

     

    Densely woven stainless steel wires greatly enhance the hose’s tensile, pressure, and impact resistance, protecting the inner tube from external stretching, wear, and extrusion damage. It does not bulge, unweave, or break under long-term high pressure.

  • Outer Layer: High-Density Asbestos Covering

     

    Made of flame-retardant and high-temperature resistant asbestos material, it provides excellent heat insulation, fire resistance, and anti-scald protection. It can effectively isolate high-temperature radiation and open flame splashes up to 450℃, preventing scalding and aging of the hose body. It also has wear-resistant and anti-corrosion properties, extending the service life of the hose.
